Women marching wearing "solar panels" at Sun Day Portland

At the Sun Day event in Portland, Ore. on Sept. 21, I interviewed participants about what clean energy means to them.

You can listen to my interviews in my latest podcast here.

I first spoke with Giavana, who teared up recalling how she was involved in the first Earth Day event. She compared that experience to the environmental losses we’re experiencing today.

I also spoke to two youth activists, one from the Sunrise Movement and another from Divest Oregon.

Two solar users told their solar stories–about lowering their bills and powering through outages with solar and storage.

The event was very Portland, and very peaceful–not “war-ravaged,” as the Trump administration has claimed.
